Our guest speaker this month will be: Major Rick Hoffman

Major Hoffman is a Detective Division Commander for the Raleigh Police Department. In partnership with CCBI and with the aid of a GCC grant, he implemented the Facial Recognition program for the Raleigh Police Department which is operated jointly with CCBI. He shares his lessons learned and best practices with others that were acquired from the experience.

Presentation: Facial Recognition (FR) – Bridging the Gap from What-to-Who: A discussion and demonstration of how FR is used in police investigations which cover implementation, training, operation and some best practices. Information will be provided which can inform your security priorities when deciding where, how and why you are deploying cameras at facilities. The presentations goal is to enhance your understanding of FR as it relates to police investigations and the identification of suspects from images provided to police.

*The normal meeting fee does not apply to the new location for this meeting. You will be responsible for paying for your meal (A requirement for the free use of the meeting room). The costs are $9.69 for meal with water and $12.50 for meal with soda.
